I believe the ASX 200 rebalance announcement will occur on Friday. I am not sure if it's announced prior to, or after trade closes. Neuren was at threat of removal from the index, but now it seems less likely, however, I am having trouble working out a consistent way of predicting the rebalances because so many of the datasources online are just flat out incorrect. As a result I can't say with any confidence whether Neuren is safe this time around, maybe someone else can chime in here.
I wonder if the SBB has kicked up another notch to lessen the chance we're booted from the index. The theory might be that there are people placing bets on the removal, and therefore will be able to cover from the force selling that comes as a result. (These people probably borrowed the shares from the entities who own due to index inclusion in the first place).
