I would love for Neuren longer term strategies to be successfully implemented and from my perspective the longer they maintain control over their destiny the better as it is rare to hold such a successful company run by competent and ethical people.
My concern is for an unacceptably low takeover in the relatively near term and hence my appreciation of the current buy back and hope for another. Whilst implementing on their strategic plan is super important so is getting the share price back to somewhere near analysts valuation otherwise we won’t be around to spend that money, run trials and/or see the benefits.
Given the delays with FDA processes some of the expenditure mentioned will be quite some time away. With our growing royalties, future expansion and potential milestones I can’t imagine extra money allocated to a buy back couldn’t be achieved even if the aim is just to maintain a floor under the share price.
Obviously that opinion is coming from an external perspective with no real insight so if the board, as indicated, don’t add another sbb then I expect it will be the right decision.
