There were 23,000 trades today,Tuesday, for a volume of only 0.177 million shares before the closing auction..
So 63,000 trades for the volume of 0.74 million shares that got traded before the elephants got going on Friday doesn't seem out of proportion.
The bots were just doing their thing.
Presumably the bot belonging to the either the buyer or seller of the big chunk of shares was doing its best during the course of the day on Friday.
To borrow a line from the ad: Nothing special..
