There is however room across all industry to ensure there is stability and no gouging in crisis times and also a fair and genuine possible excessive profits tax in some form.
Labor seem to be going back to union roots and making a massive ambit claim and getting the public an dmedia primed and then will settle at some minor numbers so tehy can still call the industry evila nd have a scapegoat for not balancing a budget.
Government has all the tools and levers but looks like we have children in control doing market perception testing via media to see where to stick the knife in.
I wonder if any of the 17000 oil and gas direct employees in Australia and their family want contunued employment and if the government wants the tax they pay- lets say 2bill in wages and ,5 bill in tax?
