if I owned this company, and they were doing a buy back, I’d be hoping the share price tanked hard. Doesn’t change the underlying in the slightest. Just means they can buy back more at a cheaper price. Which is very good for share holders.
dividends can be paid when the stock is soaring.
I think the size of the buyback is obviously small so far. But that’s better than overpaying for the shares.
