I think it instructive to look at the list of Listed and Unlisted holdings at 30 June 2024.
Unlisted holdings are nearly always undervalued by a considerable extent as there is usually no reference points at the ‘Mark to Market’ date, namely 30 June 2024.
It looks like he takes a lot of small positions. When (and if) they start to deliver, he builds his positions and they become much larger.
The first few from the list will have material unrealized gains.
Mark to Market is BS in that it assumes all assets are sold on the balance date.
As many astute private investors know that some deals mature faster than others. Sometimes it takes time for a particular business / company to produce a liquidity event that ‘knocks the socks off’ the holder.
