its very simple maths. Even an 8 year old who knows fractions can work it out
a 25% share buyback increases everyone's effective ownership of the company by 33% (assuming you don't sell). Therefore, if you are bullish on coal prices, after the BB is complete, you will get an increased dividend going forward, of 33%, all else being equal.
It doesn't matter what the share price does. In fact you should hope the share price goes down, so that the company can buy back more shares for cheaper.
Most companies do not increase their EPS, or dividend, by 33% in one year. Yet WHC can do that.
