In case of WW3, fossil fuel commodity prices would increase not decrease. Energy is the backbone of a military force and those who can manufacture and fuel their armour, win. Case in point is WW1 and WW2 where both oil and coal prices increased drastically, many military movements of those days were aimed at securing oil fields.
