who do you think would have supported putting a billion dollars of debt on a coal company to buy back share 8 months ago. Plain and simple was never on the cards. They did better than all the other coal miners (all other companies too?) in regard to buybacks.
but I do agree. In its current form there isn’t as much juice left in buying back shares over $10. Send out the cash with dividends. Dribble buybacks at this price and support the price with buybacks if it drops significantly below $10.
