I think most know that I rate this buy back as very ineffective both for the effect on the share price and it’s real effect on the metrics of the company.
Against a starting soi of over 5bn then a miserly buy back both in quantity and timeframe is just not going to cut it in any meaningful sense.
in fact in an earlier post I expressed my disappoint that the company had decided that the best use of its capital was to start buying back shares. The wrong move for a young developing company with so many operational opportunities. Brookside is not a mature company with its books awash with cash and nowhere else to spend it.
they could possibly spend 2 or 3 million dollars on a buy back and really have very little beneficial effect on ultimate shareholder value, as opposed to putting that capital into more production orientated endeavours.
Why not just go for a consolidation? I don’t like this 5bn (ish) soi, it sends out a signal, screams it out, that we are a penny stock.
yes, we are in the market, but not in the field, not in operations, where we are operating far above penny stock level.
