This looks to me like a "read between the lines" announcement.

"technical challenges with the pilot study in the hands of Arovella's contract research partner" - reads to me like the company completing the trial haven't captured enough data or missed some important milestones during the process.

"Scientifically, the collaboration is exciting and may provide a treatment pathway for patients with very few options" - reads to me that they are still very confident and happy with the results they have received so far but let down by the capturing of the data.

"We will continue to work hard to generate robust in vivo data. However, we need to ensure that the data generated is of the highest quality" seems to cement my thoughts above.
