We bought into this block on 1 Nov 13 and together with the purchase price, seismic work and processing we have spent about $10m on our outlays for early exploration. I am estimating that Stirling have done the same so it is a valuable asset. There is oil in the area and leads are being revealed.
Being handed it for nothing is a great deal which means that we can make our own farmout arrangments and get all our costs reimbursed, even free carried through the first well or more.
What's to think about. Someone wants to make a gift to you and you want to consider it. Maybe it's a quiet time in the industry but others are fighting for a block like this. Things are improving and we must protect our assets for the good times to come.
