rubbish. Firstly, there are no circumstances where EQX will pay. EQX are the claimant seeking compensation under an international treaty. Worst case, if EQX lose, then they do not get any compensation. Secondly, when EQX do win there is strong precedent that the compensation will be paid and/or recovered. Google Commisimpex v Congo. Yes it has taken forever, but Commisimpex has now recovered more than $100 million by seizing bank accounts and planes and properties. Lastly, did you read the announcement? Sounds to me that what EQX really wants (and will no doubt get?) is the Badondo licence back. Given this is now part of FMG's huge Belinga deposit I would think this outcome would be a gangbuster company maker for EQX! Painfully slow yes, but definitely not a waste of time.
