It's incredibly frustrating how some perceive AVZ Minerals' intentions.
All they aimed for was to conduct mining operations in accordance with the laws.
However, certain individuals in the DRC threw a wrench into their plans by demanding more. It's absurd to suggest that AVZ is the one disregarding regulations when, in reality, they've been eager to comply and start mining legally. Numerous court cases have highlighted the DRC's failure to adhere to its own laws.
AVZ finds itself in a bind; it's impossible for them to meet ASX rules when others they're dealing with are not playing by the same rules. This discrepancy is detrimental to AVZ's rights and the value of shareholders' shares. What's the point of AVZ announcing its intentions if others, like Cominiere, act contrary to them?
The bottom line is, AVZ Minerals deserves fair treatment and the opportunity to operate within the confines of the law. They shouldn't have to navigate a landscape where others are allowed to flout regulations without consequence. It's time for the DRC to uphold its own laws and provide AVZ with the opportunity to operate legitimately.
