Are you some sort of clown or maybe pretending to be? The bank has zero rights to ignore the laws regardless of what they may think. The law is the law!!
The government makes these laws to protect the public from creeps of every description and there sure are plenty of these slimeball creeps. The laws are formulated to gather wide information so government agencies can analyse what is going on and by whom.
Whenever there is a bank choosing to ignore the laws of the country they must be prosecuted and I believe those people in the banks should be jailed and removed from office forever. It is not acceptable that any bank person should choose what they consider important - they must be 100% compliant with Australian laws.
Perhaps you should take note of the bags of criminality exposed in the RC - this is yet even more criminality by banks. Just who do they think they are by ignoring the laws? Prosecute them to the MAX.
