I think Pete just liked bragging about his returns . I recall he would always argue with the AEG fan boys over which LIC was better. Both HML and AEG come onto the market roughly the same time, and Stuart made an appearance on AEG forum saying HML would outperform AEG.

Regarding Aliom 650% , those returns were in the PDS I think of both HML and BHD.

Good pickup with the Annexure A in JBL response. Wonder what is going on there?
