SI dodged one critical question by John Hester: He just didn't answer that and asked for disconnection of lines and wrap-up of conference.
What makes you interpret it this way? The call dropped between parts of a question, and SI waited and asked for the caller to connect back and ask again; delayed response from the operator then saying there were no further callers.
Seems more like an awkward handling from the ESL operator and potential awkwardness from SI.
