My dad got staph in hospital on his heel while in a coma on life support for a long duration. Pressure sore, he could not touch his heel being in a comma so it was had to be transferred to him from hospital staff. Took over 6 months to heal the wound and was only done via use of medications no longer per.itted to be used.
