RE: Trading halt WHA

ASX recognises that a suspension takes away the market from investors. Accordingly, when an entity requests a suspension in trading of its shares, it is not something that ASX agrees to lightly, particularly for a prolonged period. It will generally only do so where there are clear reasons justifying that course of action. In the case of WHA, the suspension relates to capital required as pre-condition to WHA’s obligations under the CBDG joint venture. WHA’s announcement of 8 May 2018 indicates that it is still in discussions with institutional investors regarding the capital raising and can be inferred that trading in WHA will be reinstated on the earlier of the institutional component to the capital raising being concluded or 1 June 2018 (which is the date WHA has to satisfy the capital raising pre-condition).
