I remember two projects that were almost identical. Project A had a few teething problems after the instillation for a six month period and then another 12 months to get all the operators familiar with the equipment. The first six months were hell but eventually got resolved.
Project B with an almost identical machine after a short period had most of it's main bearings replaced and many other very expensive components, but before they were able to figure out where the problems were coming from much money was burnt though and the impact to production was ongoing for a year or so.
So a new build can go very well and very bad, and a plant like Renard worth many million more and the complexity of the plant has many pit falls even when things go fairly well, blowing an extra 50 million would be chump change. So in my view the Renard option for anyone coming onboard reduces possible blow outs in unexpected expenditure. Plus i gather we may have local staff that are familiar with the plant that can be up skilled in short order.
We are low risk with a lack of capital and a near to the surface product.

Management is the issue here ... Has been for ages
Finally CE "deciding" to focus on WR1. Given his REM 100% focus on WR1 should have always been the case.
So many stuff ups here costing holders Millions. The outright spruikers are a disgrace.
