I'm sure the board would not give the ok for 8.5 million unless they had some idea of a MOU on the hook in the near future for no reason, i would expect them to pull the plug on Renard now if very interest was shown or you are putting the company into the receivers grip with no light at the end of the tunnel.
With no fish on the line i would expect the board to go very easy on spending, tighten the hatches till the lithium world finds itself in a better place.
I'm sure the board would not give the ok for 8.5 million unless...
