It’s CE’s job to put the most positive possible spin on things. I’ve heard that exact rhetoric from pretty much every lithium MD/CEO who is chasing an offtake. The reality is those comments are complete bullshit. Anyone paying attention knows that potential partners are seeking the best deal possible, for them, not us. Their obligation is to their shareholders, not ours. I’m genuinely astounded that anyone would think a partner is going to give us an amazing deal out of the goodness of their hearts, because it just doesn’t work that way, and this isn’t a charity. As dipshit Donald would say, they hold all the cards, and we have no cards.
Chris mentioned during the interview that he didn’t want to put a gun to the potential partner’s head, and that’s why we had the CR. It’s just a shame he turned the gun to shareholders heads instead….
