To some degree you are correct. The potential deal needs to benefit both parties, going forward if your lithium comes from China you are going to have some issues with imports to the EU and America. The Korean's and Japanese want to source product from outside of China for obvious reasons. The west needs good quality lithium outside of Chinese manipulation etc. WR1 still has a large quantity resource with a path to production then many wont have with the Renard plant. That said we need a solid MOU to move from digging for lithium to a pathway to production at Renard. Canada has invested heavily into becoming a ree hub of sorts from start to finished product.
