Xped have been rubbing shoulders with Cisco for over a year, in fact I would be more surprised if there is not a relationship.

Video features Chris Wood and others and also Anil Menon from Cisco can be seen in it, I have not watched it for a long time and do not have time at the moment.
Cisco, iinet, Microsoft and Xped were involved so possibly built a relationship.
Not ruling out they have / have not done other things together either.
