From JPR press releases, it looks like they have well by well infrastructure to utilize the gas (on site power and local use) and then have a larger and more permanent path to moving gas to MMG at the North Akkar field to the west.
The take away for me, is that the gas will be fully utilized now and with additional production wells, and this allows oil production at optimal levels.
From the Feb 2024 Corporate Presentation
- Stage 1 GasUtilisation infrastructure in place and allowing 5 production wells to operate at optimal levels.
- Stage 2 GasUtilisation will commence building in 1H 2024 (including power lines and gas pipelines)and will integrate into adjoining neighbour (MMG) infrastructure.
- Government approvals inplace as well as agreements with MMG in relation to the gas utilization integration.
