What happened today has grounds for a lawsuit, I think.
These PE from overseas, who clearly are desperate to bring their funds in Australia, should be kept under microscope.
The issue is when you get paid for managing funds deployed rather cash, all kinds of below average equity managers are getting more and more desperate for deals. God knows whose money they are managing when we are under sanctions.
There should be a massive walk-away fee for even a consideration of bid or a real bid. This will make only serious players come forward. This is gotta be legislated here in Australia.
