I do agree with your remarks that the Perichs will do everything they can to turn this story around... however I do think it's a rescue story. The 200m of notes wasn't their first choice, tells me they were hoping not to but they are so heavily invested in this that their arms are tied into submission.
Can FNP ever return to it's previous highs?

Also there seems to be a gag order on Rory et al and who did what here. From what I read in the news article (seeing how that's the only source of updates for FNP rather than official channels), the whistleblower complaint alleges she brought up her concerns of the accounting irregularities with the Perichs personally quite some time before the suspension and was fired for it. To me that muddies the water on ultimately who's responsible for this mess, but again I totally agree that someone should go to jail for this.
