Sounds to me like CST are being greedy little cry-babies. Bit shady of them not to directly contact BUD.

Also of note, this says summons/judgement was handled by the District Court of Western Australia. Not my area of expertise, but district courts handle claims up to $750,000. Anything over that needs to be filed in the state's Supreme Court. At least that's my understanding, and professor Google tells me it's correct.
