If Macquarie 'sold' then you can be nearly guaranteed that AZJ 'over paid'.
Macquarie are no Schmuck and always extract their pound of flesh.
But having said this, these assets rarely come to market.
So its a case of over pay and take a long term view, or don't acquire.
That's why I am not negatively banging management over the deal.
In 10 years, and with some decent inflation to inflate away the acquisition price, I don't think AZJ shareholders will be complaining.
