NSW has had massive flooding and weather patterns over extended areas, this makes access to remote areas that are dirt based muddy and inaccessible generally, almost impossible when wet.
If you consider that there could be hills and possibly drilling pads up steep slopes the difficulties are significant, they need to dry out to get vehicles in.
