I got nothing against people picking stock I myself do I am voicing an opinion as a fund manager business it just tough competing with ETFs and now the Millennials generations out number babyboomers and most of these guys are into ETFs, most have no interest in picking stocks they just want to put XX amount away each month and DCA and forget.
there are thousands of reddit, discords, and discussion forums on these topics by Millennials, I am GenX and quite tech Savy myself so I know all the in and out of what going on in reddit and discords and dozens of other popular social media channels. They are all overwhelming want to go ETFs route, I myself also favor ETFs now, I allocate regular money to ETFs and never sell, just add more and DRP until I retire and eats its dividend and the rest I use to pick stocks
I say the zoomers generation will just pick up with the Millennials when they are ready to invest and follow that trend
