The fact that they make no mention of efficacy as the reason for shutting down the trial exposes them litigation should it be revealed later on the they did have early VR data that they deemed was poor enough to cancel the trial. As trust in management is now officially zero I cannot discount that poor data contributed to the decision and they have masked it behind a commercial decision. I hope not.
I know they company is getting bombarded by callers at the moment. I have tried several times to call. What they have done today and how they have done has been enough to instantly turn the company into yet another cash backed biotech shell.
They need to officially announce that early Cohort 4 viral load data has nothing to do with today's announcement.
