Happy New Year. And I believe it will be. Totally agree with the sentiment.

However, I'm not in 'too deep to abandon ship'. Not sure if you intended that as a figure of speech or more of a 'cold light of day' analysis. FWIW I could do the 'abandon ship' thing if I chose to do so (or had to do so) - life would go on with slight modifications.

The important thing IMO is that we actually make a choice & choose not to do that right now. Would I like to do it i.e. abandon ship? Heck, no. But that's not the point. So, why would I choose not to do that?

For me, it's not a pain thing (I've had worse) - it's because I reckon I can see the finish line from where I'm sitting. Weird feeling - I keep looking over my shoulder & inspecting the bushes for Kato (the 'real' one). And that was the reason I bought in at the start (to see the finish line). Others will no doubt be experiencing different emotions or seeing it differently due to their differing situations, but that's it for me.

As a wise man once said: Here come bad news talking this and that. Well give me all you got, don't hold back.
