I wasn't referring to you specifically, I was just saying that there are circumstances where it would make sense to convert options even if they are slightly out of the money. It obviously depend on the purpose the options were purchased (eg turning a quick profit if exercised in the money), whether the option holder is happy to exercise the options and hold a position etc. You made a blanket statement that heads need to be 4-5c for options to be exercised, that might be your requirement (and many others) but it isn't necessarily the case.
