The company has offloaded some excess stock through a china distributor.
I agree with your tone on the distributor on that marketing was basically non-existent.

To the co being in China for 2 years, the company has been developing a .cn website over this period. The site has slowly evolved from a Japanese site (Katakana & Hiragana alphabet) with a ridiculous product purchase price to a Chinese language site that now appears to function well.

The website is looking good however there has still been no China launch to make the country aware that the product exists.
Between one off product offloading & the development of a website I think it's a stretch to say the company "has been in the China market".
