Ibag, No, I did some scenario analysis on all the announcements, and identified potential strategies behind the deal. Turns out, I was not far out. I have done 100 of these investments, here and overseas. There is a lot of data in announcements and what is not said is sometimes a sign. Unfortunately those lessons came at a cost to me. I invested in an identical case years ago, technology company etc... almost exactly the same approach and tactic was employed.
In this case , the ASX I feel found something in their due diligence that the Board and Management should have ( or they ignored). What happens often is that everyone wants the deal to go ahead, and we develop into a corporate scrum mentality, bumps up, heads down and push towards desired target. But nobody is paying attention, that the scrum is going off a cliff.
