I've had this discussion with Perseus CEO before Wrt gold. I asked whén the Au price is high is it 'high grading' by taking out the higher grade material which may leave the rest less or non mineable later. He said - You generate more cash and profits at the higher price.
It's management call. Yes, at present were pretty desperate.
