Checking in. We should not expect a notice of effect today (17th) as it is Martin Luther King's Birthday in the US: a nationally observed holiday, and there will be no SEC updates. In that spirit, I suggest we all try to elevate our thoughts in his memory: bonus if it also alleviates some anxiety about getting some news.
From what I have been able to glean from the announcements, the road show probably started in the New Year. Traditionally they run for about 2 weeks or more, although I do not know whether this era of virtual events will compress that timeline or not. I prefer to assume that it won't, since the time required for the books, and allowing for prospective new investors to reflect, decide and reposition themselves to act, is not really compressed by virtual events. Neither is word of mouth. So tomorrow marks, for me, the first day the notice of effect becomes more likely: up until now I have not been expecting anything at all.
All in my opinion. I have no special knowledge. What I do know is there is objectively no reason to be more anxious now than before the New Year. Try not to pay too close attention to the SP from day to day if you invested based on upcoming news flow. If that's what you did, wait for the new flow. Easier said than done for some, and particularly in some situations... but that's still the bottom line.
Best wishes to all.
