Preliminary information provided by the US consultant geologist is summarised as follows:
• numerous historic prospects and mineralized outcrops were sampled, with a total of ninetyseven (97) samples collected for Au and multielement assay;
• historic prospects and a shaft were located within the undrilled area to the west of the
historic Arrowhead Mine - which is the current focus of Astro’s exploration program. The
dumps of these prospects have been mapped and sampled;
• alteration and weathered sulphide (limonite) has been identified in the numerous geological
structures that have been mapped, with structural zones up to ten (10) metres wide; and
• porous, altered, gently dipping Tertiary volcanic units have been identified, mapped and
sampled in areas previously mapped as alluvium within the target area. These rocks conform
to Astro’s exploration model for the Needles property.
