Only Novartis would know, but Teva is a case in point that even if you were in a collaboration.. if a decision is made to drop an asset, it doesn't matter what or where that is in terms of development.
Teva dropped the heart program mid development prior to the data read out... so I imagine Novartis' decision to drop out wasn't that difficult given they hadn't even entered into a partnership yet.
It doesn't matter anyway.. we'll find out shortly how OTAT went.
And if the OTAT meeting was more about Mesoblast discussing and explaining the data.. and OTAT needing to go away and digest it and then provide their final guidance/sign-off when the final minutes are provided.. and may well be the case, then we'll be back on track.
