if Novartis had decided to stay on with MSB for ARDS and if they were successful in getting this product through the line with FDA then MSB would be sharing the income with Novartis. Now IF mesoblast gets through alone then the revenue is all for Mesoblast, this more profit, no need to share with big pharma. Perhaps a good thing for Mesoblast- since more money for Mesoblast, no need to share with anyone.
