I'm expecting some action this week or next as most of the Minmetals team should be back from Chinese new year. Likewise for the potential Chinese bidders.
The Trans Metal Fund LP bid is certainly authentic from all aspects, whether its financing or the players behind it. They can most certainly fund the transaction. The fact that they've gone to such efforts to hide their identity demonstrates how keen they are (Zijin Mining) to secure this project and bolster their presence in the Balkans.
