Let's never forget the initial offer was received when Gold was $2,000 , the negotiations timeline to make this a definitive agreement was pretty quick, expected this month or next..

It's very clear the buyers are going to want to put this purchase to bed sooner rather than later.

It's very clear that the Chinese shareholder of 10% of MTC that paid 40c when Gold was just $1,800 are going to want +50c at least. There is no way they would want to accept any cash offer that doesn't give them there 40c investment back, as they would have no interest in holding for the development of the lithium Assets with them being a Gold company..

It's very clear that the offer with have to be sweetened at little, with more cash on settlement, at least 50c to get the Chinese there money back.


Current total offer $120,000,000 or 63c a share. (excluding taxes, etc)




I think @VatreniHR is spot on with saying a total cash offer instead of having that final Royalty payment will be demanded by the Chinese 10% shareholder so they can exit and not have to wait around for the balance.


Anyway you look at this, 19c is ridiculous , it was 25c before any offer had been received, it's the opportunity of the year, all the ducks are lining up, give us that Underground Mining licence and we might even find ourselves in a bidding war with some of the other 11 potential buyers...

As @VatreniHR has said, the Selling advisor Minmetals is paid a 5% selling fee, so they will be trying to squeeze out the highest price they can get for us.
