I suspect everyone is waiting for two government decisions:
1) OPRED's guidance on stage 3 emissions in light of the July Finch supreme court ruling, which is due any day now.
2) DESNZ consultation with stakeholders on the fiscal policies relating to North Sea oil and gas. Clearly, the government has realised that the energy profit levy isn't bringing home the expected tax revenue and is. in fact, seriously damaging confidence in investment in the sector. That too is due any day now.
