"Damstra granting Ideagen a period ofexclusivity to conduct due diligence as well as the granting of a call option by each of Mr JohannesRisseeuw and Mr Christian Damstra which would give Ideagen the option to acquire their shares atthe indicative offer price of $0.27 per share."

This line has got me stumped, why would they offer this call option on their holdings? Is it to stop another potential bid coming over the top?
