China opened their doors to the West offering them a cheap hardworking disciplined controlled workforce in return for tech sharing.
Western companies have benefited from greater profits, and consumers cheaper products.
Now the west is playing the catch up game for they have finally realised that China has out done them in the EV automotive sector. It has been brilliant to see that the west stepping up with new tech of their own, and I believe that the west still have the minds and the smarts that can outdo the Dragon, the Dragon that wants to control the world.
The West is too reliant on the Chinese workshop, and there is no way they will bring back all manufacturing to their own shores, not unless they lock out international trade with China, and that isn't going to happen. So ultimately the West and China still have to keep up relations. And in saying that that's why the majority of RE product is still supplied and willing accepted by the West. One has to look a lot further that the rhetoric that has been peddled.
