I see five potential outcomes and I don't have a firm view either which way at the moment and no one can with certainty unless you know how PNC values their assets and the forecast period with which it needs to do so under the conditions of the Scheme.

Carlyle walks but agrees to continuing finance to save face/legal fight
Carlyle walks - PNC recapitalises, re-finances on its own accord or is subject to a third party bid
Carlyle walks - PNC go under
