Agree tiger , I do tend to the optimistic side
But my thinking is that if their paperwork has been in good order and allowed regulators to clear the other businesses so quickly (and pay their legal fees) that Phoenix should have similar records.
It seems to me that there may be politics at play and the regulator may have been under pressure to react to the media stories without the required backup.
I think good will come out of it and hopefully any rogue independent advisors get exposed. I'd love for them to employ their own direct advisors it would clean up the system immediately
