Can’t say I agree with your proposal to follow the same strategy as A2 and Bellamy’s. Yes they were successful and Yes this is the path bubs and nuchev are taking but people seem to forget the 10yrs plus A2 was a research based company at a penny stock price, that organic infant formula was actually unique and innovative at the time Bellamy’s and TMI put it together.
It’s also my understanding that CNCA clearly want to see control by the brand owner of down stream activities. Thats almost a mandate for the dry blend facility (which I imagine is why bellamys and bubs both purchased one) and increasely so for the wetblend plant.
I expect those brands successfully doing business in China in future will likely have more involvement in downstream activities not less.
I certainly expect bubs and nuchev to be hurt by this in future.
happy to hear your arguments as to why a lean version i.e. losing any point of differentiation would be the path of success.
