My view is he should not have accepted them. Given the budget blow out and the share price , I don’t know how you can take them with a clear conscience. I would also like to know what the KPIs were to achieve the bonus and how it was measured. I strongly disagreed and I voted against the issue of these shares at the AGM. This is not the first instance of of him receiving bonus shares.
If the the company is going to continue offer performance shares then the KPIs should be clearly set, transparent. and known by not just the board, but all shareholders as well.
My view is he should not have accepted them. Given the budget...
